  Tomah-Warrens Sportsman’s Alliance Board of Directors Meeting

Board Members Present: Vern Nelson,  Marlyn Kemnitz, Paul Gasser, Mike Linehan, Mark Beckford, Marty Neas, Brian Pedersen
Board Members Absent: None
Members present: Brett Mittelstaedt., Steve Gebhardt, Paul Salzwedel, Alan Potter, Chuck Huffman
Secretary Report: Report was not available.
Treasurer Report: Marlyn Kemnitz, read the treasurer report. Marlyn reported that w/ what we made from Cranfest, we now have a positive balance in our checking account.  Total made from Cranfest was approximately $14,600.00  
Marty Neas reported on the sale of the extra crazins left over from Cranfest to individual members in the community, at the Euchre card party and donated to community organizations.
Mike Linehan made a motion to accept as read, motion seconded by Paul Gasser and motion carried.
Old business:

New business: 
·         There was only one bid to open this evening regarding the sale of 18.83 acres of land, located in part of the SE1/4-BE1/4 of Sec. 22, T19N-R1W.  This bid lone bid was from Paul Salzwedel for $31,100.00.  Paul is asking that if this bid is accepted by the Board that he would be given the first right of refusal on the remaining 3.19 acres (Trout Pond) of the remaining parcel.
·         Chuck Huffman requested that we set our date for our August 27th (Saturday) for the Camp Douglas/Masonic Lodge Shotgun Shoot.  Brian Peterson made a motion and Mark Beckford seconded it and motion carried.
·         Blizzard shoot was also recommended for January 9th.  Mark Beckford made a motion and Marlyn Memnitz seconded.  Motioned carried.
·         Club memberships dues were discussed. It was recommended that there be an increase in both membership fees to $40.00 per family and $25.00 for singles. Mike Linehan made a motion and Brian Peterson seconded it. A motion was made by Brian Peterson to charge an extra dollar for all non-members for weekly shotgun shooting starting January 1st 2011.  The motion was seconded by Mark Beckford.  Motion carried.
It was recommended that leave archery prices would remain the same.
·         Christmas party will be held on December 21st. All family members are invited.
·         Brian Peterson will have Membership cards printed.
·         Next meeting will be on January 10, 2011.
·         Brian Peterson will have Membership cards printed for 2011.

·         Annual meeting will be held February 14th.
·         August 13th,  2011 will be the Club Picnic
·         Mark Beckford recommended that we explore the cost of expanding our shotgun range and look at estimated costs of this endeavor.  Steve Gebhardt, Vern Nelson and Mark Beckford will bring back these estimates for our next meeting.
·         In closed session we discussed the sale of the land to Paul Salzwedel. It was determined to sell the land for the following reasons:
a.       This land is currently land-locked and we would be responsible for providing access to this property.
b.      We haven’t used this land for many years for any club activities.
c.       This land currently being taxed at approximately $585.49 per year.
d.      The current fair assessed value of this land is $1,622.00 per acre. This bid is at $1,652.00 per acre and exceeds fair market value by $30.00 per acre.
            Mike Linehan made a motion to accept Paul’s bid. This motion was seconded by Brian
            Peterson.  Motion carried.
·         Board President Vern Nelson was given approval to proceed with the sale of land.
 
Meeting notes were read by Paul Gasser to conclude the meeting. A motion was made by Mike Linehan, and was seconded by Mark Beckford. Motion carried.
