                          Tomah-Warrens Sportsman’s Alliance Board of Directors Meeting

                                                              December 14th, 2009

 

Board Members Present: Carl Johnson, Brian Pedersen, Marlyn Kemnitz, Paul Gasser

Board Members Absent: Marty Neas, Mike Borchers,

Members present: Vern Hanson, Rob Fink

Secretary Report: Brian Peterson read the secretaries report. Carl Johnson made a motion to accept as read, motion second by Paul Gasser and motion carried.

Treasurer Report: Marlyn Kemnitz, read the treasurer report.   Carl Johnson made a motion to accept as read, motion second by Brian Pederson and motion carried.

New business: 

·         Discussion was held regarding the new brochure and the 2010 archery schedule.

Within this discussion we reviewed a letter going out to all members regarding 3 positions coming open in February. Also in this letter is a reminder of the December 22 Christmas Party at the Clubhouse.  Members are encouraged to bring a dish to pass and a $5.00 donation will required.

 

·          Discussion took place regarding the renting of the building to both members and non-club members. We reviewed the “Building Use Form”.  We would ask for a $400.00 deposit and a charge of $150.00 to use the building.  Brian Peterson made a motion to make a rental rate of $150.00 and was seconded by Carl Johnson and motion carried.

·         Discussion was held regarding the length of the indoor archery season. Carl Johnson suggested that we start in January and concluded the season mid-April.  We opted to  table discussion regarding the length of the season.  It was also decided to contact the Tomah Boys and Girls Club to participate in the month of February.  Paul Gasser will make contact with Tomah Boys and Girls Club.

·         Discussion was held regarding spring clean up. We discussed the option of inviting the Badger Challenge to assist in the clean up.  It was decided that we will table this suggestion until our January meeting .

·          February 8th  will be the annual meeting.

·         Discussion was held regarding the transferring of Larry Mittelstaedt’s lifetime membership to his wife Sharlee.  Brian Peterson made a motion and was seconded by Carl Johnson and motion carried.

Meeting notes were read by Paul Gasser to conclude the meeting.
