TWSA BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING August 10, 2009
Board Members Present: Marty Neas, Marlyn Kemnitz, Mike Borchers & Carl Johnson
 Board Members Absent: Brian Pedersen, Paul Gasser & Curt Gibeaut
 Secretary Report:
 Carl Johnson read the secretaries report. Marty Neas made a motion to accept as read, motion second by Marlyn Kemnitz, motion carried.
 Treasurer Report:
 Marlyn Kemnitz read the treasurer report. Mike Borchers made a motion to accept as read, motion second by Marty, motion carried.
 Old Business:
July 25th card party had 23 players. It was a fun time by all.
                        
Postcards for upcoming events were sent out to all members.
 New Business:
Curt Gibeaut has step down from the board as of July 19th. The board thanks Curt for all his hard work he has done while on the board.
 Shotgun:
 The Five Stand control box has been repaired.
 August 19th is the WSCGA Shoot at Woods & Meadows.
 August 23rd is the shoot at LaCresent, MN. This is in conjunction with the shoot we had at our club in May.
 Robert Nemitz is selling 1 ½ pallets of birds at cost and was wondering if the club was interested in purchasing them. This is a cost savings to the club since the price is lower than what we can purchase the birds at now. Mike Borchers made a motion to purchase the 1 ½ pallets from Robert at $7.00 per case. Marlyn second the motion, motion carried.
 The blacktop shooting pad needs to be sealed and then the lines painted on the pad. Steve Gebhardt would like to get the supplies and have it done this year. Mike Borchers made a motion to purchase the supplies needed for the task, Marty Neas second the motion, motion carried.
 
Archery:
Dates were set for the start of indoor shooting and the 2010 shoots.
December 16th Indoor shooting starts.
March 14th       Food Pantry 3D Shoot. Bring a nonperishable item and the cost of shooting will be $2.00 less.
April 18th          3D Shoot
July 10th          3D Shoot
August 29th     Broadhead Shoot
In 2010 we will have two WCFAL Shoots and need to order targets for the shoots. Mike Borchers made a motion to purchase the targets, motion second by Marty Neas, motion carried. Rod Boelsing will order the targets and get them glue up to cardboard.
 Club Events:
August 29th Euchre Card Party starting at 7pm. everyone is welcome. A light meal will be served after card playing.
 August 30th Archery Broadhead Shoot (Necedah style targets) Registration 8am – 3pm.
 Miscellaneous:
Steve Gebhardt would like to get sides made for the Cranfest tent. Mike made a motion to give Steve the go ahead on getting the sides made. Marty Neas second the motion, motion carried.
 Mike brought up getting a calendar design with the area clubs archery and shotgun shoots dates listed. This will need to be explored in more depth to see if other clubs would be interested in doing something like this.
 The board would like to say thank you to Amy Nemitz for her hard work in putting our logo on hats, shirts and jackets. If anyone is interested in purchasing any, samples are at the club house along with order forms.
 A discussion was held on leaving the gate open this hunting season. It was brought up that some members are still fishing and the problem we had before with hunters hasn’t happen for several years. If we start to have problem again the gate will be lock immediately. Motion made by Mike Borchers, Marty Neas second the motion, motion carried.
 The board went thru the Fisherman’s Night Out Banquet Donations for this year. We started with $5936.00 in the FNO account.
