TWSA annual meeting minutes -- Feb. 14, 2011
The meeting was called to order by club president, LaVerne Nelson:
Board Members present: Nelson, Kemnitz, Neas, Beckord, Linehan, Peterson ; Absent: Gasser
(Minutes provided by Mark Beckord - Shotgun VP in the absence of the club secretary. )
A quorum of members was present (19 of 31 paid members) as required by the bylaws.
The minutes of the Annual meeting on Feb. 8, 2010 was read by LaVerne Nelson. Motion to accept as read X Kemnitz, 2nd by Neas; PASSED.
BOARD REPORTS:
The treasurer's report was read X Kemnitz. Motion to accept as read X D. Anderson, 2nd X P. Salzwedel: PASSED
The shotgun report was read X Beckord. Motion to accept as read X G. Bartos, 2nd X B. Peterson: PASSED
The conservation report was read X Neas. Motion to accept as read X M. Kemnitz, 2nd X C. Johnson: PASSED
The bow report was read by Linehan. Motion to accept as read X B. Peterson, 2nd X J. Murphy: PASSED
The public relations report was read by Peterson. Motion to accept as read X Gene Bartos, 2nd X C. Johnson: PASSED
The president's report was read by Nelson. Motion to accept as read X M. Neas, 2nd X G. Bartos: PASSED (Big news ... club property was sold, and the Mortgage is PAID OFF!!!)
Election of club officers: There were 2 seats available (currently filled by B. Peterson and P. Gasser) ; nominations for board members:
Gary Mittlestadt - declined, Jim Murphy - declined, Brian Peterson - accepted (nominated by Jim Murphy), Bret Middlestadt - declined
There was only one member nominated (and accepting) and two seats available (one seat left vacant). There was discussion of the board later filling the vacancy in the same manner any other vacancy would be filled under the bylaws. There were no objections.
