TWSA ANNUAL MEETING February 8, 2010

Board Members present:  Carl Johnson, Brian Pedersen, Paul Gasser, Marty Neas, Marlyn Kemnitz, Mike Borchers

The secretary’s report was read by Brian Pedersen.  LaVern Nelson made a motion to accept and Steve Gebhardt 2^nd ,  motion carried

Marlin Kemnitz read the treasurer’s report.  Jim Murphy made a motion to accept Steve Gebhardt 2^nd  motion carried accepted as read.

Paul Gasser read the Archery report. 

·        March 14, 2010 (Food Pantry Shoot) - 3D SHOOT 28 targets
April 18, 2010 - 3D SHOOT 28 targets
July 10, 2010 - 3D SHOOT 28 targets
August 29, 2010 - BROADHEAD SHOOT 29 targets Necedah style

Mike Borchers read the Shoot gun report.   

·        LaVern Nelson is looking into a traveling trap league on Monday nights.

·        Roger from Monsoors worked on the traps.

·        There are enough clay pigeons to last until mid year. 

·        Steve Gebhardt and Mike Borchers will research prices on clay targets.

Marty Neas read the Conservation report.

·        Monthly card parties are going well

·        Fishing starts April 24 and 25- limit of 3 fish per person for that weekend

·        Discussion of prizes for tagged fish

The president’s report was read by Carl Johnson. 

Old Business:

·        Bylaws were changed to accept center fire guns on club grounds.

New Business:

·        Brian Pedersen reported on putting the land in manage crop law to save property taxes and decision was made to investigate further.

·        Discussion to look into selling some of the land west of the tracks and the money to be used to pay off mortgage.  Lavern Nelson made a motion and Paul Gasser 2^nd. 

·        LaVern Nelson made a motion that Eugene Schwemmer get a free membership in return for allowing the club sign on his property.  Paul Gasser 2^nd.

·        LaVern Nelson announced the NRA banquet will be held April 22 at the TeePee Supper Club in Tomah.

·        Jim Martel suggested doing something to honor Larry Mittelstaedt, longtime member who passed away last summer.

·        Jim Murphy is our 2008 member of the year for all his hard work as treasurer during the construction of our club house. Without Jim staying on top of not only the construction bills he also kept the clubs bills in order.  The Bob Whaley Family is our 2009 member of the year. Bob's family, his wife Shawn and their two sons Kyle and Jared have helped with indoor and outdoor archery since they join the club. As members of TWSA we urge every member to get involve like Jim and the Whaley's did to make our club one of the best in the area. 

Election of Directors: (3 positions available)

·        Steve Gebhardt nominated Lavern Nelson.   Nelson accepted.

·        Lavern Nelson nominated Brian Edgerton.  Edgerton declined.

·        Lavern Nelson nominated Mike Linehan.  Linehan accepted.

·        Jim Murphy nominated Mark Becker.  Becker accepted.

·        Steve Gebhardt made a motion for a unanimous vote on nominations.  Jim Martel 2^nd.  Motion carried.

Carl Johnson made motion to adjourn, 2^nd by Brian Pedersen.   Motion carried meeting adjourned.
